Medical Coding Updates | ICD9 & CPT Codes

AcuBase Pro comes with a limited number of diagnosis and procedure codes as a courtesy. However, Trigram Software is not responsible in any way for the accuracy of the codes in a given year or whether or not a given insurance company will reimburse for them. It is your responsibility to keep up with billing practices, including the ICD-9 (diagnosis) and CPT (procedure) codes as they change from year to year, and to use those which are appropriate to your practice. Trigram Software provides software to allow you to do your billing, but we do not provide training or advice on proper coding or billing procedures.

DO I NEED THE NEW CODES OR BOOKS FOR 2008?

If you have the 2007 codes and books, we do not believe you need them for 2008.  If your code books are from 2006 or earlier, you may need new code books, as many of the pain and compartment codes were updated in 2007.  For more on this, see our blog post on the subject by clicking here.
