Frequently Asked Questions about AcuBase Web Based Practice Management Billing Software

Will my data on web based software be safe?

Absolutely. With the highest level of security, our web based billing software not only has strict log on and password requirements, but also has created role based security to only allow staff you want to have access to patient records.

Does AcuBase comply with HIPAA Standards?

Yes.  We have built AcuBase to have role based log-ins, a complete data log file for any changes or notes made to a patients records, and the time, date, and person (login) that made those notes and changes.

Does web based billing software allow me to get to my patient records if I am not in my office?

Yes, no matter where you are.  If you have an internet connection, you can access your data any time day or night.   Simply log in with your user name and password, it will make life much easier when you aren’t always tied to your office.

Do I have to pay anything up front?

No, unlike purchasing a software license, web based practice management software is more like renting software.  You simply pay a monthly fee, and can cancel at any time if you are unhappy with the service or no longer have use for it.  This eliminates a large up-front fee, which can help when just starting a practice, or if you are looking to test practice management and medical billing software for a bit.

Can multiple users be on the web based billing software at once?

As many people as you like as long as each person has a user name and password.  There are several different pricing levels, but if you have more than 10 users, each user after 10 is just $10.  This way, there is always record of who is making notes for HIPAA compliance, but no worries, if more than 1 person needs to use the software.
